Introduction
The Jahandad Society for Community Development was established in 2002, as a non-government non-profit organization registered with the Department of Social Welfare, Women's Development and the Bait-ul-Maal, Punjab.
Since its inception, JSCD has developed a nationwide network of operations, in partnership with local communities, other NGOs, international organizations, corporations, and government agencies.
It operates from four locations: Lahore, Chakwal, Karachi and Ghanche.
JSCD's activities are concentrated in three key areas:
- Health
- Education
- Socio-economic uplift of marginalized people, especially women and children
Over the years, JSCD's operations have varied in scope and location, ranging from projects on iodine deficiency to disaster relief and rehabilitation, from safe motherhood initiatives to environmental conservation. |
